Conquer (half) a mountain range, You will start at the bottem of the range at bukit lawang, and go across the mountains to the valley in the middle.
Experience diverse habitats, ranging from lowland rainforest at higher altitudes.Ecounter wild animals such as Sumatran Ornagutans, monkey , bird, and other mammal species, including possibly wild elephant. Get away from civilization for a week – between Bukit Lawang and Kuta Cane there are no roads, no house, no civilization – just the mighty virgin jungle.

The 7 days trek goes from Bukit Lawang to Kuta cane, Following the course of the bohorok river, passing through lowland forest Orangutan/ wild elephant territory, and then moss forest, on the way to Kuta cane.The trek can be completed in seven days, however, we allow for seven to allow for unfavourable weather. Depending on this, and your fitness, we may have time at the start of the trek to look for orangutans near Bukit Lawang, or to do a night trek to see animals such as otters, porcupines, wild pig and snakes. You may see the world’s largest flower, the rafflesia, pitcher plants, and the mossy jungle at the top of perkison Mountain. We also shoud see orchid species, Orangutan, Monkeys, possibly wild elephant and other mammals.

The trek is for those who wnt to get a way from civilization – Bukit lawang sits on the eastern edge of the Bukit Barisan mountain range, And Kuta caneis in the middle. There are no rood, no motorbikes, no houses. By smugglers bringing Marijuana from Aceh. Althought you will generally follow the course of the river, it is not always easy going, which is why your porters carry machetes to cut a path, where necessary.

Day 1 : MEDAN AIRPORT – BUKIT LAWANG
Today you arrive in Kualanamu Airport Medan, than you drive about 3 hours to Bukit Lawang, a small tourist village on the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park. Bukit Lawang is the most popular places  and the easier accessible to entrance the Park. The park is one of largest  National Park straddles border in two province, containing over 800.000 ha of virgin rainforest and Home of Sumatran Orangutan, Sumatran Tiger,  Sumatran Elephant, White Handed Gibbon and etc. Arrival in Bukit Lawang, Free to Relax. Enjoying a Scenery from veranda of your Accommodation.

Day 2 : Start earlie morning from Bukit Lawang,
After breakfast, go to the jungle through rubber and cocoa plantation for hal an hour, and goo directly in the orangutan territory, to see orangutans, and observe their character and behavior, such as searching for the fruit and building nests. During the trip you will see some Monkeys and other apes such as Black Siamang or White handed Gibbon (wau-wau) and possibly some of the giant birds such as hornbill, and reptiles such as monitor lizards and snakes.

DAY 3 : In the Sumatran Jungle 
After breakfast the trip will follow the river ridge. The day ends when we meet the Bahorok river, at its confluence with the Kuala Buluh. Wild Elephant Territory.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW ;
This trip is Challenging Trek, not so much technically, but in being 7 days in the jungle without rest, walking every day. It is not suitable for CHILDREN, unless they are olde and used to long walks. We would note thet experience walkers can find conditions in the Indonesian Jungle to be much more challenging than they are used to, because the heat and humidity are high, So please do not bring much baggage (Transport of your extra luggage by road is included in the price)
